John Jacobs

Chief Executive Officer, Flagship Logistics Group

John Jacobs serves as CEO of Flagship Food Group and its subsidiaries.  John has over 45 years of experience in Food Manufacturing, Logistics, Materials Management, Quality Management and Supply Chain Leadership. 

Prior to Flagship, John taught school and coached high school football in Indianapolis, IN. John left teaching in 1976 to pursue a career in Manufacturing Management. John joined National Starch and Chemical, a division of Unilever, where he served in a variety of positions and as a member of the Board of Directors for 5 years. At the end of his 25-year career with National Starch and Chemical (now Ingredion), he was proudly serving as Director of North American Supply Chain. 

In 2001 John created Sataria Distribution and Packaging, and built a state-of-the-art 600,000 sq. ft. food grade facility that serves the food and pharmaceutical industry based out of Indianapolis, IN. John successfully built Sataria into a $12 million business with 75 employees. In 2008 he sold the majority to CREO Capital Partners and joined Flagship Food Group as a shareholder and consultant. In his role at CREO/Flagship Food Group, John has led multiple contract negotiation initiatives creating a gross revenue of over $130 million. John has been involved in multiple ERP system implementations including SAP at National Starch/Ingredion Worldwide and Implementing Infor/Provia WMS at Sataria. He has also led multiple quality process programs in his career and has extensive quality educational training such as ISO, AIB, SQF, Crosby, Conway, Deming, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing.

Mr. Jacobs lives in Albuquerque, NM and is the proud father of 3 children and 7 grandchildren. He attended Ohio University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Education with a double major in Math and Science and attended Indiana/Purdue University earning two master’s degrees in Reading and Learning Disabilities and in Administration. John is the author of 3 motivational books for children and is a firm believer that success comes from believing in yourself and having passion and integrity in everything you do.
